SCS SB 91 -- EMERGENCY VEHICLE DEALERS
SPONSOR: Nodler (St. Onge)
COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Transportation by a vote of 9 to 0.
This substitute defines "emergency vehicles" and exempts dealers
who sell only emergency vehicles from maintaining a bona fide
place of business, including the related law enforcement
certification requirements, and from meeting the minimum yearly
sales.
FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds in FY 2008, FY 2009, and
FY 2010.
PROPONENTS: Supporters say that these dealers are speciality
salesmen, and many of these sales are made away from the place of
business. These dealers should not have the same requirements as
other dealers.
Testifying for the bill was Senator Nodler.
OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
